It’s becoming more common to hear of our customers growing out of their home roasting machines and starting their own businesses. It seems like there’s a lot of opportunity out there with coffee drinkers being open to new business models and so many people learning how to roast great coffee at home.
We are always excited to learn that Sweet Maria’s was the springboard for a new coffee careers so this article in the LA Times about Greg Thomas and Trystero Coffee caught our attention. Greg started off roasting coffee from Sweet Maria’s and now runs his roastery and small cafe’ in Atwater Village. The article mentions that he still purchases his coffee from us but in larger amounts from our wholesale company, Coffee Shrub.
