Screen-drying

A method of drying coffee in the sun, laying it on elevated screens or mats to allow air movement through the coffee.: Screen-drying is also called Raised Bed or African Bed drying because of its original use in Ethiopia. It is a method of drying coffee in the sun, laying it on elevated screens or mats to allow air movement through the coffee. It is now used in many countries because it allows for even drying with both sun and convective air movements through the elevated coffee beds. It is considered better than Patio-drying by many.
