Aillio Bullet R2 Pro 220v Power Plugs Explained

The first model of the Bullet R2 is available … but the 220 volt Bullet R2 Pro requires new owners to be prepared with the right outlet / plug type.

The Aillio Bullet R2 Pro is now available for purchase on our store for $4999.

With the imminent arrival of the Aillio Bullet R2 Pro model, I wanted to address questions around the 220v power supply outlet type. Those who want to jump in on the R2 Pro are probably going to want to have this sorted out, so you can start roasting ASAP.

This is a quick video I put together to explain the power supply cable the Bullet comes with, and several different approaches to prep a 220v outlet for it, depending on if you have a dedicated spot, or whether you are going to share an outlet with some other 220v appliance. The Bullet Pro is said to need only 15 amps, but generally in the USA we use 220 volt for higher wattage appliances, so I focus on 20 amp  and 30 amp options. We have run our R2 Pro demo unit on both and had no issues.

  1. I see no mention of a step up- step down voltage converter. Considering the R2 electrical requirements of only 15 amps, I would think this to be a viable alternative solution for North American users who don’t have a 220V plug handy.
