Coffee Growing Regions

Coffee is grown in a belt around the world – roughly from the Tropic of Cancer to the Tropic of Capricorn, and specialty coffee is grown generally from 1000 to 3000 meters above sea level.: Coffee is grown in a belt around the world – roughly from the Tropic of Cancer to the Tropic of Capricorn, in 50 different countries. For specialty grade coffee, altitude ranges from 1800- 6000 feet. The optimum temperature is between 15-24ºC (59-75ºF) year round. Soils and rainfall vary widely from one origin to the next – or even within a large coffee producing country like Ethiopia.
