Cupping is a method of tasting coffee by steeping grounds in separate cups for discrete amounts of ground coffee, to reveal good flavors and defects to their fullest. It has formal elements and methodology in trays aren’t going to change the world or make your coffee taste better and for some may be unnecessary but we think that they are a very useful tool. If you are moving batches of coffee to and from bags to your roaster, these come in pretty handy.
