Our video tutorial makes changing the heating elements in a Quest M3s coffee roaster a straightforward, and relatively easy process.
After many years and thousands of roasts, I had the first heating element give up the ghost in my Quest M3s roaster. These have been my main sample roasters here in Seattle, so you can bet they’ve seen a lot of use! The fact that they’ve lasted this long is a testament to the durability of these Quest machines.
When the heaters do finally fail, they don’t go slowly. One day the roaster is working fine, and then unable to come up to temp the next. Thankfully the procedure to verify and swap out a bad element is a fairly simple one, and only takes a few hand tools, as well as a multi-meter to test which element is bad (they come in pairs, so you can also just swap the set if you don’t have a multi-meter).
While we don’t currently stock spare elements, new sets can be purchased directly from quest at – [email protected].
