African Coffee

On the African continent, Arabica coffee mainly comes from the nations of East Africa.

African coffees are as special as they are diverse. It makes sense since Arabica has been in these forests for millenia, developing diverse species and varieties. In fact, Arabica originates from the western forest of Ethiopia and Boma Plateau of Sudan.

From the Kafa zone, it spread to the eastern areas of Ethiopia (Harar) and across the Red Sea to Yemen. It was there it was grown specifically fror trading within the Arabic world and beyond.
